Shell is organized within four major business groupings:
- Upstream – operates the upstream business. It searches for and gains crude oil and natural gas and contains the upstream and midstream infrastructure required to deliver oil and gas to the market. Its pursuits are organized primarily in geographic units, although some activities are managed beyond the business or provided through support units.
- Integrated Gas and New Energies – controls liquefying natural gas, reforming gas to liquids and low-carbon opportunities.
